Microgaming Opens New Headquarters

One of the Internet giants casino software provider Microgaming has announced the opening of their new corporate headquarters, which is located in Douglas, Isle of Man.

The new building is named Sixty Two and is a five story building located in the hub of Douglas and will host more than 100 employees. The building will feature 16 meeting rooms, hot desks, phone booths, and break out spots. The fourth floor is a communal spot, featuring a coffee shop, dart board, pool table, table tennis, and library. The company developed the building with their employees in mind, installing a gym, treatment room, and studio where fitness classes will be offered.

Environmentalism was also taken into account, with the building achieving a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) rating of excellent, the first building on the Isle of Man to do so.

Speaking about the new building Microgaming CFO John Coleman said,

"Following a number of years of hard work and commitment, it's incredibly satisfying to see Sixty Two open. A lot of time was spent understanding the needs and wants of our employees so that a building could be designed specifically with them in mind. All involved, including staff and suppliers, should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved - I can't thank them enough."

Microgaming CEO Roger Raatgever also commented, adding:

"It's incredible to think that when we set up Microgaming on the island back in 2001 there were just six staff. Now we are a campus in the heart of Douglas, with two large offices, and best of all they are connected by a sky bridge, which was a must for me! It's an exciting new chapter for Microgaming and I'm immensely proud of what we achieved in our home."
